Charging System

Our charges are set so that they are affordable to local organisations and individuals, but cover the costs of running and maintaining our vehicles. If you need to find the cost of using one of our services then please ring us on 01639 751067.

Dial-a-Ride

Members who are users of the Dial-a-Ride service are charged at a standard rate per mile, and only pay for each mile that they are on the vehicle .The cost per trip will be confirmed in advance, with the passenger paying only the fare for a direct journey not for the actual trip that may not be as direct.

Social Trips

The charge for members wishing to go on a social trip will vary depending on the trip, the distance to get to the stated destination, the number of people booked on the trip and whether there are any admission charges or any other charges. An example of the type of social trips we will be running are shown in the Our Services pages of this website.

Group Travel

If your organisation is a member of DANSA, requires Community Transport and wishes to book one of our vehicles complete with a driver, then the cost of the journey will be charged on the total mileage of your journey at a set rate per mile. A fixed charge may apply if your journey is to an established location. Our charges are inclusive of fuel, vehicle and driver and will be for your exclusive use for the period of your hire.

Go It Alone Scheme

If your organisation would like to use one of the DANSA vehicles and have a volunteer driver who is correctly trained to drive the vehicle, we may also be able to hire out our vehicles to you. Our vehicles will be available on the majority of evenings, and weekends with some availability also between our normal daytime hours (9am to 4pm Monday to Friday). The cost to hire the vehicles with your own driver is charged per mile depending on how many miles you travel.

The vehicles will be ready for you in our secure lock up from where you will be able to collect and return them. The vehicles will have a full tank of fuel ready for you to use.
